PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column fixing device having an unprecedented, novel structure, while afflicting a sill with as little damage as possible. SOLUTION: A sill 11 placed on foundation concrete 4 via a base plate 2 of a joint fitting 1 is fastened to the foundation concrete 4 by use of anchor bolts 5 placed on the concrete 4 and nuts 14 threadedly engaged therewith. The joint fitting 1 which comprises the base plate 2 and a joint piece 3 placed on the base plate 2 has its joint piece 3 fitted via the sill 11 into a column 7 placed on the sill 11. The joint piece 3 is then secured thereto.
