PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for preventing termite infestation by shutting off moisture under the floor of a wooden building, and improving ventilation to the underfloor space from a gap around the lower part of the building to keep the underfloor space dry at all the time. SOLUTION: When mat foundation concrete 1 is placed on subsoil 10 under the floor of a building 20, a moisture-proof film 3 is laid over a level surface formed by rolling gravel 8 compacted below the mat foundation concrete 1. A gap 5 is provided between the upper surface of continuous footing concrete 2 provided continuously at a predetermined portion of the upper surface of the mat foundation concrete 1 placed on the upper surface of the moisture-proof film 3 and the lower surface of a sill 6, via a plurality of packing members 4 provided on these opposite surfaces. Thus, ventilation to the underfloor space 9 from the gap around the lower part of the building 20 is improved to prevent termite infestation.
