PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silaferrocenophane having amido functional group, and to provide a method for producing the above compound. SOLUTION: This new silaferrocenophane having functional group is shown by the general formula(1) [wherein, R<1> and R<2> are each H, a (substituted) alkyl, alkenyl or aryl; R<3> , R<4> , R<5> , R<6> , R<7> , R<8> , R<9> and R<10> are each H, a (substituted) alkyl or silyl; wherein, R<1> and R<2> may be bound to each other to form a ring together with the respectively adjoining atoms; and X is a halogen atom]. The other objective method for producing the above silaferrocenophane having functional group shown by the general formula(1) is characterized by comprising reaction between an N-silylamide and a chloro(halomethyl)silaferrocenophane.
