<p>Injection process for a medicine is intended to keep the latter apart from its solvent until the moment of use; the process is effected by means of a syringe which has two or more compartments. The syringe comprises a cylindrical body one end of which has a cone shaped tip for receiving the needle holder; the other is closed by a collar with two finger grips. A piston fitted with two circular lips slides in the body and can push a liquid in two directions. The piston has a hole and a ball valve; when drawn back the material in the upper part of the syringe is put into communication with that in the lower portion and the mixed materials are forced out through the needle when the piston is pushed forward again. The needle can be fitted to the tip, after removing the sealing stopper. The syringe considerably reduces the number of operations at the moment of injection and the contents remain in the sterilized condition until use.</p> |
