A fusion heater (7) is placed in direct contact with the bottom of an internal vessel to heat it without using oil. The solvent is distilled at atmospheric pressure or under vacuum and is condensed for recovery by a plate exchanger cooled with water. A chamber for static cooling with ambient air is placed upstream of the exchanger to reduce the temperature drop across the exchanger A used solvent regenerator has an internal vessel (2A) which contains the solvent and an external vessel (2B) enclosing the internal vessel and containing insulation (4). The regenerator also includes a mixer and a means for injecting air or steam so that near the end of the distillation cycle the residues are mixed and/or air or steam is injected. There is a scraper at the bottom for solid residues to avoid fouling of the base and allowing powdered residues to form. The regenerator also has a chamber before the plate exchanger which allows a static cooling with ambient air and avoids too great a temperature drop which could deform the exchanger plates.
|
