PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive hydraulic brake device being suitable for use in an electric motor vehicle performing regenerative braking and having a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This hydraulic brake device is provided with a liquid pressure generation device 12 generating and outputting a predetermined liquid pressure irrespective of brake operation, a pressure regulating valve 16 adjusting the liquid pressure P1 supplied from the liquid pressure generation device 12 to a liquid pressure P2 corresponding to a brake operation force and outputting it, a master cylinder 18 operated by a liquid pressure supplied into an auxiliary liquid pressure chamber 19 from the pressure regulating valve 16 to generate and output a liquid pressure P4 corresponding to the liquid pressure P3 in the auxiliary liquid pressure chamber 19 in a first master cylinder liquid pressure chamber 18e, and wheel cylinders 22 to 25 operated by the outputted liquid pressure P4 of the master cylinder 18 to give a braking force to wheels of the vehicle. Solenoid proportional valves 26, 27 for adjusting an auxiliary liquid pressure value in the auxiliary liquid pressure chamber 19 to an arbitrary liquid pressure value below the outputted liquid pressure value of the pressure regulating valve 16 are connected to a liquid pressure passage 17 connecting the output side of the pressure regulating valve 16 to the auxiliary liquid pressure chamber 19. |
