METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLYMERIC SHEET AND POLYMERIC SHEET USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of inexpensively manufacturing an optical polymeric sheet having high-degree gas-steam barrier properties and to also provide a substrate for a liquid crystal display element and a liquid crystal display device using the optical polymeric sheet thus obtained. SOLUTION: The polymeric sheet has at least a base material (a) and a gas-steam barrier layer and is manufactured by laminating a transfer film, which is obtained by forming a protective layer and the gas steam barrier layer or only the gas steam barrier layer on a peelable base material (b) with a thickness of 0.1 mm or less, on the base material (a) provided with an adhesion layer comprising a photosetting resin containing at least a thermally decomposable initiator and molding the resulting laminate. The polymeric sheet manufactured by this manufacturing method is also disclosed.
