PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a fuel tank 7 in a relatively low position while preventing an interference between a bottom wall 8 and a governor spring 5 of the fuel tank so as to reduce the overall height of the engine. SOLUTION: The engine with the fuel tank having the fuel tank 7 disposed above a cylinder block 3 includes a recessed part 9 formed in the bottom wall 8 of the fuel tank 7 for intruding the upper part of the governor spring 5.
