PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal machine by which agitation can be efficiently performed, power consumption can be suppressed, and also service life of the base material can be made longer. SOLUTION: An oxygen sensor 21 for detecting the oxygen concentration in a processing vessel 2 is attached to the outside of the bottom of the processing vessel 2 via a connecting member 20. Agitation time and agitation frequency by an agitation body 11 are controlled based on the detection result of the oxygen sensor 21. Thus, the agitation by the agitation body can be efficiently performed, and excessive agitation can be prevented.
