PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically select and collect defective eggs detected with a separation and packing treatment of hen's eggs. SOLUTION: Bucket conveyers 21-26 crossing at right angles with a single-line distribution conveyer 1 and having a number of sections corresponding to aspect of the defective eggs are adjacently arranged at the lower side of the upstream side of paeking station on the conveyer and tray carrying conveyers 31-36 crossing at right angles with the bucket conveyers and having the number of section are arranged at the lower side thereof. A control function dedicated for separating and collecting the defective eggs is installed at a control unit for storing the defective eggs discharged from the single-line conveyer and belonging to the same section from the bucket conveyer belonging to the same section to a tray T carried by the tray carrying conveyer belonging to the same section with no clearance. The cost of the separation and packing treatment can be reduced and the station doesn't occupy a space compared when installing an exclusive collection station in each section because the defective eggs can be separated and collected according to the aspect thereof.
