<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any spring-back while satisfying the specification of the coiling temperature when coiling a thick-walled high-tensile hot-rolled stock. SOLUTION: When the thick-walled high-tensile hot-rolled stock 2 which is finish-rolled by a final stand 1 of a finishing mill and whose coiling temperature must be kept at <=600 deg.C is cooled by a cooling facility 3 and wound in a coil by a coiling machine 4, the coiling temperature of a tail end part of the thick-walled hot-rolled stock at a plurality of turns from the tail end on the outer circumferential side of the coil is raised with respect to the coiling temperature of the inner circumferential part to release the internal stress caused by the coiling, and the spring-back at the tail end part during the unpacking operation is suppressed.</p> |
