PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture medium body having biodegradability, capable of being extremely easily carried and laid because of a small shape and a light weight, initially including prescribed seeds and fertilizer, capable of naturally regulating the germination from the seeds and the growth of a germinated product so as to have a desired shape, and useful for the promotion of greening at every site and the cultivation of flowers and trees. SOLUTION: This culture medium body is characterized in that the culture medium body has (a) a medium block comprising a cellulose sponge containing a carbonized material, and having incisions extending downward and formed along the upper surface, first holes present at the lower end parts of the incisions extending along the incisions and having inner diameters larger than the widths of the incisions, and second holes different from the first holes, (b) filter-shaped first columnar bodies inserted into the first holes and comprising a biodegradable fiber holding the seeds in the interior, and (c) filter-shaped second columnar bodies inserted into the second holes and comprising the biodegradable fiber holding the fertilizer in the interior. |
