PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transverse sliding device enabling the reaping main part (7a) to be transversely slidingly driven easily and quickly by only the operation of an operating lever (102) even with such a structure that the transverse sliding of the reaping main part (7a) is checked when the machine body is put to a traveling halt during reaping work with a combine harvester. SOLUTION: In a combine harvester including a transversely driving mechanism functioning to transversely drive the reaping main part (7a) relative to the machine body part(Kh) and an operating lever (102) for the control of the transverse sliding action of the above mechanism, there is equipped a detector (127) for detecting the action of the operating lever (102).
