PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detecting irregularity in the number of balls put-out by a game machine wherein in a hall computer to manage data of each game machine, the number of balls put-out by each game machine per unit price is set beforehand, and the set number of put-out balls is compared with the actual put-out number of each machine to check the irregularity in the number of put-out balls. SOLUTION: Ball number information of supplied balls supplied to a game machine 2, ball number information of prize balls put-out based on the state of establishment of prizes, and sales amount output information outputted every time rental balls are put-out are inputted, and the difference between the number of supplied balls and that of prize balls is divided by the number of sales output to calculate actual number rental balls put-out, whereby the number of rental balls put-out per unit price set beforehand for the machine 2 is compared with the actual number of the rental balls put-out to detect irregularity in the number of the rental balls actually put-out based on the result of the comparison.
