PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new collet easily manufacturable in a simple shape and capable of using an existing collet, and a block insertable into the existing collet. SOLUTION: This collect comprises a plurality of slits 12 formed axially ranging from the tip side of a collet body 11 allowing a tool to be inserted therein, hole parts 13 formed at the base end parts of the slits 12, the blocks 14 disposed on the inner base end side of the collet body 11, and a fixing member 15 for fixing the blocks 14 installed on the collet body 11. The block 14 comprises a locking hole 18 communicating with at least one hole part 13 and an insert part for stopping a rotation by allowing the block to abut on a corner part 10c formed at the base end side of the tool. The fixing member 15 is inserted into the hole part 13 through to the locking hole 18, and the block 14 is fixed to the collet body 11.
