PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-curable and/or activated energy beam curable coating film which has a high surface hardness of the film and is excellent in adhesion properties, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, weather resistance and the like. SOLUTION: The method for forming the coating film is characterized by using (A) a radical-curable composition as the undercoating and (B) a cation- curable composition or (C) a cation-radical-curable hybrid composition as the top coating. A layer of (B) or a layer of (C) is coated on a layer of (A) by a wet-on-wet method, and then the two coating films are cured to obtain the cured film.
