PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevatable upper cabinet which is enabled to both automatically ascend/descend a storage chamber and open/close a door without increasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: This elevatable upper cabinet is constituted of an outer box body 2 to be attached to an upper position on a wall face 1 and a storage chamber 5 to be built in the outer box body 2. The outer box body is equipped with a door 3 in front. The storage chamber 5 is formed to be rotated to a position for use in a front lower part of the outer box body 5 by mutually facing link members 6. The cabinet is equipped with a door opening means 7 to outward open the door 3 when the storage chamber 5 is descending and an elevator mechanism 8 to rotate the storage chamber 5 to automatically ascend and descend. The elevator mechanism 8 is constituted of a reversible motor 8a equipped on the outer box body 2, a transmission member 8b to convert the rotation force of the reversible motor 8a to elevator motion of the storage chamber 5 and closing motion of the door 3 so as to wind back the door 3 by the reversible motor 8a when the storage chamber 5 descends and to wind up the door against outward pushing force of the door opening means 7 by the reversible motor 8a when the storage chamber 5 ascends, and a controller 6c to control the reversible motor 8a.
