PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight fishing line guide body of a fishing guide for a fishing rod and a lightweight fishing line guide for the fishing rod capable of reducing sliding resistance of the fishing line and avoiding problems due to sandwiching of a bait between a frame and the fishing line guide body and falling off, etc., of a hard ring by corrosion of the frame. SOLUTION: This fishing line guide body 10 of the fishing line guide 1 comprises a fishing line guide hole 10a of the fishing line guide body 10 in which one of symmetrical positions 10A and 10B of the central axis 10X forms a thick-wall part 10A having a thickness directed from the tip side of the fishing line to the butt side and formed into the thick wall and the other forms a thin-wall part 10B having the thickness formed into the thin wall. The cross section of the fishing line guide hole 10a in the thick-wall part 10A describes a circular arc having a larger curvature radius than the cross section of the fishing line guide hole 10a in the thin-wall part 10A on the cross section of the fishing line guide 1 with a plane including the thick-wall part 10A and the thin-wall part 10B. A mounting part 11 of the fishing line guide 1 is formed of a synthetic resin.
