PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing a plant of high selenium content that can bring a large amount of selenium into the plant with no risk accompanied by handling of selenium sources in no anxiety of causing the contamination of waste water or underground water with selenium sources. SOLUTION: The objective method for culturing a plant of high selenium content is characterized by using the soil that includes the selenium source of low solubility in water so as to be low in penetration into underground water and high absorption of selenium into plant body, when the plant is cultured.
