PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a shielded sea area encircled by a water-shielding wall at a reduced cost for actively growing marine life and fish in the shielded area while varying the water level corresponding to the tide of the outer sea area and provide an apparatus for the cleaning of seawater. SOLUTION: The shielded sea area 3 encircled by a water-shielding wall 2 is cleaned by using a water-shielding wall 2 composed of a plurality of alternately arranged seawater cleaning apparatuses 4, 5 and placing an algicidal facility 8 in the shielded area.
