Production of purified hydroxy tyrisol comprises three-stage chromatography employing an XAD adsorbent resin in the first two stages, with elution by water. The third, reverse chromatography stage on polystyrene resin, has elution with a gradient of methanol (25-45%) and purifies the aqueous extract thus obtained.
