INK FOR DYEING PLASTIC LENS AND METHOD FOR DYEING PLASTIC LENS USING THE INK

An ink for dyeing a plastic ink which is applied on a substrate by an ink-jet printer and then is sublimed and deposited on a plastic lens in vacuum to dye the lens, characterized in that it comprises at least one sublimable disperse dye selected from among an anthraquinone dye, a quinophthalone dye and an azo dye of thiazole type; and a method for dyeing a plastic lens which comprises using said ink. The ink can be used for suitably dyeing a plastic lens by the use of the vapor phase transfer dyeing method.
