The invention relates to an improved method for hydro formylation of olefinically unsaturated compounds in the presence of a rhodium complex compound, which contains novel xanthene-skeleton based on diphosphines, and a rhodium-containing a catalyst for hydro formylation and one xanthene skeleton based diphosphine. The novel method is particularly suitable for hydro formylation of internal olefin to straight-chained aldehydes.
