<p>A rotation detection sensor, wherein a detection part (7) is installed in a metallic covered cylindrical casing (1) and a holder (2) is fitted into the opening part (1a) of the casing (1), a flange (11) is provided at the opening part (1a) of the casing (1) around the periphery of the opening end thereof and a viscoelastic liquid gasket (seal material) (12) is applied between the flange (11) and the holder (2) around the periphery thereof, and the opening end portion of the opening part (1a) of the casing (1) and the exposed holder (2) are covered with a resin part (4), whereby the viscoelastic liquid gasket (12) penetrates smoothly into a clearance between the casing (1) and the holder (2) to assure a sealability and, since the viscoelastic liquid gasket (12) has an excellent workability due to its rapid curing property allowing a solvent thereon to volatile rapidly, a rubber based elastic sealant is formed after the volatilization of the solvent.</p> |
