<p>A resistor comprising a substrate, a pair of upper surface electrode layers provided on one side of the substrate, and a resistive film connected with the pair of upper surface electrode layers, wherein the upper surface electrode layer comprises a first thin film layer highly adhesive to the substrate and the resistive film, and a second thin film layer having a volume resistivity lower than that of the upper surface electrode thin film layer. The inventive resistor further comprises a pair of side face electrodes provided at the end edge of the substrate and being connected electrically with the upper surface electrode layers, wherein the side face electrode comprises first and second side face thin film layers and the material for forming the second side face thin film layer exhibits solid solubility to the first side face thin film layer.</p> |
