PURPOSE: A control apparatus for sterilization and disinfection system of gray water using metal ion by electric method is provided, in which a constant level of current and a constant level of metal ion concentration are kept so that sterilization of various microorganism, algae and bacteria is carried out effectively. Any variation of current caused by enlarged distance between the electrodes owing to dissolving of metal into the solution thus abrading the metal is corrected by detecting the current and adjusting the voltage applied on the electrodes. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus includes two opposite pair of electrodes(11,11a) which are set in a water passage(10) and dissolve into water due to the applied voltage to sterilize water; two current detectors(12) set on one electric line to detect current flow to the electrode(11a); a current/voltage converter(13) that decides the current level by the detected output voltage of the converter(13) and controls the voltage applied on the electrodes(11,11a); a control part(14) to drive the stepping motor(16) according to controller signal; a stepping motor driving part; a slidac(17) to vary the output voltage according to the driven stepping motor(16); and a rectifier(18) to rectify the output A/C voltage of the slidac(17) to D/C voltage and to smooth, and to apply to the electrodes(11,11a).
