The invention relates to an electromechanical percussion instrument with at least one striker (32), and a struck section (19) for the striker (32) to hit. The sounds are generated by the coming together of the striker (32) and the struck section (19) by using a mechanically activated oscillator and converted into electrical sound signals by means of a converter coupled to pick-ups (21) and electronically prepared and processed for reproduction as sound tones, whereby the mechanically activated oscillator is formed by the striker (32) itself. The striker (32) comprises a rigid, in any case, strongly damped and thus essentially non-vibrating or sounding fixing or support piece (33) with an oscillating body (34), which may oscillate elastically mounted on the fixing or support piece (33). |
