<p>An improved process for the bioheap leaching of copper ores is disclosed. In this process, the bioheap leaching is conducted at below or around Eh∫550mV. Preferably the concentration of Fe?2+ and Fe3+¿, which are generated during leaching, are maintained such that the concentration of Fe2+ is greater than Fe3+. The process has particular utility in relation to chalcopyrite ores.</p> |
