PURPOSE: A motor torque detection apparatus is provided to easily detect tension of the area which does not permit installation of roll, while reducing parts count and improving workability by forming the motor integrally with the tension detection unit. CONSTITUTION: A motor torque detection apparatus comprises a servo motor(6) having a servo motor shaft(9) which is coupled to a rewinder frame(2) in such a manner that the servo motor shaft is rotatable by a bearing(12) mounted to the rewinder frame; and a load cell(7) having an end coupled to the rewinder frame and the other end coupled to a servo motor flange(21) where the servo motor is fixed. The load cell senses the reverse rotational force of the servo motor generated during the operation of the servo motor, thus allowing the load cell to directly detect torque of the servo motor.
