In a vibration generator, the centrifugal ring weight, 15, is rotated about the motor shaft, 11. The pinion, 13, mounted on the motor shaft, meshes with the internal gearing, 16, of the weight, 15. The radius rods, 17, permit 15 to gyrate round 11, while preventing rotation, thus generating high frequency vibrations. The radius rods are smaller than the chordal distance between the individual supporting points so that the rods can rotatably pass each other during the gyratory motion. In an alternative form, a continuous variation of frequency is effected by adding a second gyratory mass which is displacable relatively to the first so as 'to effect a variation of the magnitude of the resultant centrifugal force. |
