A support plate (3) with a non-stick coating and a semicircular-curved shape in the joint region is used to bridge the joint (8) in between the mounting surfaces (1, 1') and edge brackets (2, 2'). Lateral edge webs (12, 12') formed by punching a load-absorbing plate (4) that curves in the upwards direction are received by the punched-out spaces (11) in the edge bracket side arms (10). The gap space (6, 6') between the floor coverings (5, 5') and above the support plate is filled with a sealant material (7) cast in a single step. The sides of the joint are flanked by edge bracket side arms with square, rectangular or oval holes punched in them. An elastic sealant material covers the brackets and fills the gap in the joint.
