In the cleaning, rinsing and thermal disinfection of laboratory and operating instruments, esp. minimal invasive surgical instruments, in a programme-controlled automatic rinsing machine, the novelty is that (a) the cleaning and disinfection programme comprises stages of pre-rinsing and cleaning, a subsequent neutralisation stage, one or more intermediate rinses and a final post-rinsing with thermal disinfection, as water-supplied stages, the rinsing programme stages of pre-rinsing, repeated intermediate rinses and neutralisation being dispensed with individually or in combination as required; (b) the opt. omitted pre-rinse and at least the subsequent cleaning are carried out with a liq. quantity mixed with alkaline or neutral cleaning agent at up to 60 deg C; (c) pre-rinsing, cleaning, intermediate rinsing and the neutralisation stage rinsing are carried out with soft or deionised water, only deionised water being used in post-rinsing and the last intermediate rinse; and (d) disinfection is carried out during post-rinsing at 80-95 deg C for 0-15 mins., with or without subsequent drying. |
