METHOD FOR PRODUCING HOLLOW YARN FILM

A method for producing a hollow yarn wherein a mixture of a poly(vinylidene fluoride) and an organic liquid or a mixture of poly(vinylidene fluoride), an organic liquid and an inorganic fine powder is melt-kneaded and extruded, to form a hollow fiber, and then the organic liquid or the organic liquid and the inorganic fine powder are extracted from the hollow fiber, characterized in that the method further comprises drawing the hollow fiber before or after extraction and then allowing it to shrink. The method permits the production with stability of a hollow yarn film which has minute pores and exhibits high water permeability, and is excellent in durability and stain resistance, and thus can be suitably used for filtration such as the removal of turbidity.
