A method for bonding formed parts comprises: (a) at least one of the joint surfaces consists of aluminum; (b) at least one of the joint surfaces is precoated with a polymer containing at least 40 wt.% 1-16C alkyl (meth)acrylate units (polyacrylate); and (c) an epoxy adhesive is used for bonding. An Independent claim is also included for formed parts bonded by this method.
