The carrying device (1) is made of metal and provided with two downwards pointing hooks (2, 3) protruding at the top and at the bottom of the rear edge, which can be inserted at the appropriate height into one hole of a row of holes located at a vertical support bar. A tongue-shaped element (5), positioned halfway between the hooks (2, 3) can be loosened with a screw driver and swiveled into a hole in order to protect the shelf from being detached from the vertical bar accidentally.
