The invention relates to a method for removing scale from strips in a mill train, by means of a descaling device (3) and a finishing train (1) arranged in the direction of movement of said strips (4) behind the descaling device (3). According to the invention, the upper and lower sides (5, 6) of the strip (4) are impinged upon by water under pressure inside the descaling device (3) and in the mill train. The aim of the invention is to reduce the disadvantageous effects of the different temperatures and different scale growth between the upper and lower sides (5, 6) of the strip (4) inside the finishing train. According to the invention, a symmetrical temperature distribution on the upper and lower sides (5, 6) of the strip (4) is produced inside the descaling device (3) and is kept as constant as possible inside the finishing train (1). |
