LOCKING MECHANISM FOR CIRCULAR SAWS

The locking mechanism for circular saw blades is designed to secure the latter on portable power tools used in machine engineering, woodworking and as household tools. The locking mechanism provides quick insertion and release of the saw blade and has a very reliable and simplified construction. The construction comprises a housing (1) with an element (2) fixedly attached to said housing. A groove (3) is made lengthwise along the diameter of said diameter (2). On the bottom outer surface of said element (2) is located a locking bush (4) which is movable axially. Said bush (4) is fixed in bottom end position by means of a shoulder (5) and spiral spring (6). At its upper end, said bush (4) abuts a stop washer (7). The bottom end of the longitudinal groove is provided with a stop opening (8). In it is located the retention tooth (9) of the saw blade (10). The upper end of said groove (3) has a uniform longitudinal section whereas at its opposite end the section is larger. A flat spring (11) is configured to fit in said lengthwise groove (3). The upper end of the flat spring (11) is shaped into a fixing tooth (12), which has been bent towards the outer edge of the housing element (2). The width of the longitudinal groove (3) together with the flat spring (11) located in it is larger than the thickness of the saw blade (10) in said longitudinal groove (3).
