APPARATUS FOR ELIMINATING DIRECT CURRENT OFFSET OF CABLE MODEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus for eliminating a DC(Direct Current) offset of a cable modem is provided to reduce the number of a gate and a memory required to design a DC canceller by eliminating the DC offset generated through an A/D(Analog/Digital) converter by an adder. CONSTITUTION: An A/D converter(80) samples analog signals received through a cable channel and converts it into digital signals. An adder(131) adds a compensated value to the respective digital signals outputted from the AC converter(80). A two's complement converter(132) converts the digital signals added to the compensated value in the adder(131) in the form of a binary number system through the truncation of bit. A complex mixer(133) converts the digital signals from the two's complement converter(132) into a base band signal by using a restored carrier frequency.
