Use of a substance (I) that binds to at least one of IAP (integrin-associated protein; CD47); integrin alpha v beta 3 (II) and/or thrombospondin-1 (III) such that binding between (III) and IAP and/or (II) is inhibited, for promotion of wound healing. An Independent claim is also included for a method for preparing a living skin replacement in which the replacement, after growing the cells on a biocompatible membrane or before applying it to a wound, is stretched by 10-90%, optionally also treated with (I).
