Drinks are sold in disposable cups in particular at big events like a football game or an open air concert. At least one hand is constantly occupied in carrying the cup. The holding device is designed as a ring of a size suitable for the insertion of the lower area of the cup and provided with a string for being attached to the neck of the user. Both hands are kept free and can be used for the appropriate action like applauding or holding a snack. The device can be provided with a logo or any other adequate pattern.
