PURPOSE: A transmission of a V-belt type is provided to get lubricating system for efficiently control generation of heat at metal blocks constituting a V-belt or at the coupled part of metal blocks at all gear levels. CONSTITUTION: A V-belt(3) is installed between an input pulley(1) and an output pulley(2) relatively changed in each width depending on the transmission gear ratio. A transmission of the V-belt type composed of metal blocks(4) and a coupling member of metal blocks includes a supply mechanism(10) injecting oil toward the V-belt from the direction of slides of both pulleys. In the V-belt, metal blocks of a section trapezoid type having a horizontal slit to each side is coupled by inserting laminated metal bends in the slits. Oil is directly supplied to the metal bands always because oil is injected from the supply mechanism, and sufficient cooling is performed. Therefore, generation of heat of the V-belt and wear are controlled.
