CLEANING SYSTEM FOR REFRIGERATOR CONDENSER

This cleaning system 100 includes compressor 102, driven by a motor 104; a condenser 101; a cooling fan 105 for directing an air stream at the condense r 101 during normal operation; a motor drive system 106 for driving the fan 10 5, and a timing device 110 for reversing the rotational direction of the fan motor 130 to direct the stream of cooling air away from the condenser 101 to remove debris collected on the condenser and clean the condenser during a cleaning cycle. The fan 105 is driven by drive system 106 having a solid sta te commutated motor 130 or a drive system 106 having a reversible permanent spl it capacitor motor 130b. The timing device 110 includes a timer 110a, 110b for controlling the time periods during the normal operation (cooling) cycle and during the cleaning cycle.
