PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of improving the attaching/detaching operability of extended equipment, preventing the electric damage of an interface part, and securing user's safety. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with an opening/closing door 16, a microswitch (interlock switch) 35, a link mechanism (rod 36 and 1st and 2nd levers 37 and 38) turning on/off the switch 35 interlocked with the door 16, a stopper (stopper member) 40 preventing the opening/closing operation of the door 16, a memory card (added equipment) 33 mounted on the interface part 30, and a cover 34 with which the interface part 30 is covered. When the cover 34 is attached, a part of the back surface of the cover 34 abuts on a part of the stopper 40 so as to release the stopper 40, whereby the door 16 can be opened/closed. When the cover 34 is removed and it does not abut on the stopper 40, the stopper 40 prevents the opening/closing operation of the door 16 and the link mechanism does not act, whereby the interlock switch is not turned on and a device main body gets in an operation unfeasible state. |
