PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control musical sounds of respective parts by operating an operation element capable of specifying the operation position a direction in two dimensions. SOLUTION: This musical sound controller has the operation element for specifying an operation position in a two-dimensional coordinate area of X and Y axes, a means which specifies the characteristics of a musical sound, an allocating means for allocating desired parts of playing data having a plurality of parts to X-coordinates and also allocates desired parts of the playing data to Y-coordinates, and a control means which controls characteristics of the musical sound specified by the specifying means as to the parts allocated by the allocating means to the X-coordinates according to the X-coordinate value of the operation position of the operation element and also controls the characteristics of the musical sound specified, by the specifying means according to the Y-coordinate of the operation position of the operation element. |
