METHOD FOR PRODUCING CHLORINE-SUBSTITUTED HYDROCARBON COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a chlorine-substituted hydrocarbon compound by which hydrogen chloride in the reaction mixture can be precisely removed without complicating the production steps and hardly causing problems of generation of a large amount of cleaning waste water or the like. SOLUTION: This method for producing the chlorine-substituted hydrocarbon compound comprises purifying the reaction mixture having <=300 ppm water content by distillation, bringing the distillate obtained thereby into contact with a solid deoxidizer to reduce the concentration of the hydrogen chloride in the distillate so as to be <=10 ppm when reacting the chlorine gas and/or the hydrogen chloride gas with the feedstock compound comprising an aromatic hydrocarbon compound or an aliphatic hydrocarbon compound, and purifying the obtained reaction mixture to produce the chlorine-substituted hydrocarbon compound.
