PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image deviation at a transfer part caused by a shock when the trailing edge of recording material comes off from a resist roller and image staining at the trailing edge, and to prevent irregularities in an image even in a device where the carrying speed of the recording material is frequently changed. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a speed detection film 21 held in a nip part where a fixing film (fixing moving member) 14 and a pressure roller (pressure member) 15 come into press-contact with each other and moving with the recording material 8, a read means 33 for reading a signal pattern 34 formed on the film 21, and a speed control means 37 controlling the driving speed of a driving part based on a read signal from the read means 33.
