<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems; the whole device becomes large in size for the purpose of accomplishing both-side recording at a high speed, specially, recording on a continuous paper, as for a tandem color image forming method, and a printing unit for front-side printing and a printing unit for rear- side printing are separately necessitated, and the device becomes inferior in terms of the device cost, the reliability and the maintenance. SOLUTION: 1st and 2nd printing stations where several just equally- constituted printing units are separately arranged in a vertical direction are horizontally juxtaposed in two lines, and in one printing station, a toner image formed on a photoreceptor is directly transferred to the surface of a recording paper which is moving upward from below, and in the other printing station, and after the toner image on the photoreceptor is primarily transferred to the belt surface of a vertically stretched intermediate transfer belt which is moving upward from below, the toner image on the intermediate transfer belt is secondarily transferred to the rear side of the recording paper with the already printed front side, then, both-side printing is accomplished.</p> |
