PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of suppressing the displacement of sheet carrying timing and defective carrying of skew even if an image forming device is small in size and cost and a fed sheet is rather thick. SOLUTION: A paper feeding roller part 1 generally comprises a paper feeding roller 2 and a shaft 3. The shaft, 3 is loosely fitted to the paper feeding roller 2 through the center part of the paper feeding roller 2. The paper feeding roller 2 and the shaft 3 are disposed so that the projection 5 of the paper feeding roller 2 and the end face 11 of a disk 4 and the projection 6 of the shaft 3 and the other end face 10 of the paper feeding roller 2 are positioned through a distance W and so that the projection 5 of the paper feeding roller 2 is positioned opposedly to each other on the forward rotating direction of the paper feeding roller 2. A spring 7 as an elastic member is installed between the projection 5 and a projection 6, and both end parts of the spring 7 are fixed to the end faces of the projection 5 and the projection 6.
