PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a member for packing an ink ribbon which enables protection of an edge surface of a wound part of an ink ribbon roll when the ink ribbon is packed, prevention of a displacement between a ribbon core and an ink ribbon when the core and the ribbon are shocked during transportation or the like, and also efficient and inexpensive manufacture of the ink ribbon. SOLUTION: A cardboard material is half-cut, an uncut part of the half-cut part is folded, and the whole is folded into two, as the member for packing the ink ribbon.
