PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition good in touch feeling and causing no oil component segregation. SOLUTION: This cosmetic comprises a clay mineral dispersion which is produced by preparing a primary dispersion by the use of a silicone derivative, a water-swellable clay mineral and water in an amount equal to or less than that of the water-swellable clay mineral followed by formulating the balance of water.
